Book of the Month

I had the honor and priviledge of narrating this book for the audio production. I can honestly say that I received blessing upon blessing during the completion of that project. 

First of all, I made a new friend. Shelly is a wonderful person and she is just as genuine, caring, and trustworthy as you would expect from reading the book. She has infused the book with personal stories and experiences while never taking the focus off of our Lord and the importance of knowing him and speaking to him often. 

The book itself is an easy, though fully thought provoking and life enhancing read. As I read, I began to think of prayer in a different way. Don't misunderstand. I have been one who longs for and believes in regular fellowship with God going back to my childhood, but Sit With Me had me thinking more deeply about the words I say and the faith I put behind them. I began to see God more clearly and my understanding of what he wants to hear from me grew to a new level. 

Shelly has divided the book into sections, each focusing on a different "chair" or type of prayer. She provides examples, but she also teaches enough so that you will be able to easily formulate your own prayers for any and each of the "chairs." It's a beautiful nod to sitting with the Lord and basking in his presence as you speak and listen.
